Exploration of narrative is pertinent to many subject areas within the arts from media and the performing arts to graphic communication and creative writing. Mobile technologies and particularly GPS enabled smart phones have the ability to link audio, moving image text and graphics to specific geographic locations. The sequencing of sections of information can allow creative practitioners to create new forms of audience engagement with narratives.
Devised as part of the research Developing Interactive Locative Narratives for Mobile Technologies Within Arts Education (Whittaker 2011) funded by Plymouth University HELP CETL, this evolving ILN Development and Lecturing Toolkit is divided in to two main sections, Development and Teaching/Lecturing.
